Location: Intersection of Jelgavas and 1905. gada streets, Liepāja, Latvia.
Installed: December 2025.
Located in a landscaped square next to the SIA "VEGA 1 serviss" office in Liepāja, this unique environmental design object functions as a real-time outdoor thermometer. The four-meter-tall structure is crafted from specially weathered (rusted) steel. Its artistic form, characterized by decorative flowing lines, draws direct inspiration from Liepāja's historic Art Nouveau architecture.
At the center of the installation is a glass tube housing a 100-diode LED light column. The column measures and displays the actual air temperature, shifting colors dynamically across a spectrum from blue (cold) to yellow and red (warm). Designed by Raimonds Kuncītis, the installation symbolically reflects the core business of the company, which specializes in climate control and engineering systems.
