Near Nida, you can see a Baltic Sea coastal landscape that is not typical for Latvia – a unique stretch of rocky beach, which is a geological and geomorphological natural monument. It begins at the border of Latvia and Lithuania and stretches 3 km in the N direction. Since 1962, it has been recognized as a protected geological object with an area of 8.2 ha.
